I grew up as a writer in the orange groves of southern California, prolifically penning novels that I "published" in 3 ring binders and distributed amongst my friends in middle school. That led to a B.A. in Creative Writing with a minor in Photography from UCSD.

Then I moved to beautiful, technicolor L.A. with my then-boyfriend-now-husband so he could attend CalArts (he's a brilliant
animator now). I pursued an idealistic calling particular to bright-eyed twentysomethings by working for a variety of non-profits.

Halfway through my twenties, I decided to trust my gut, take a risk, and go to art school. I got a second degree in Illustration Design from Art Center College of Design.

After years as an in-house graphic designer, I'm now a full-time freelance illustrator. My work has been featured in publications, campaigns, products, and galleries.

I'm currently working on my first book, Bad Girls Throughout History, to be published by Chronicle Books in Fall 2016.
